Jacob Kotzubei and Louis Samson, both partners, have been promoted to the new positions of co-presidents of private equity firm Platinum Equity, spokesman Daniel Whelan said in an email.
Messrs. Kotzubei and Samson had been co-heads of mergers and acquisitions and will continue serving in those roles. They also will continue to report to Tom Gores, Platinum's founder, chairman and CEO.
"Jacob and Louis have been integral to our success over the years," and will help in Platinum's evolution and growth trajectory, Mr. Gores said in a news release.
