Philip Parkinson was named investments and retirement leader in the U.K. at Mercer, the firm said Monday in a news release.
In January, Mr. Parkinson will take over the role held by Mercer U.K. president and CEO Benoit Hudon, who will concentrate on those duties, the release said.
Mr. Parkinson has held numerous positions at Mercer, most recently as head of the defined contribution segment of U.K. wealth. In his new role, he will oversee defined benefit and defined contribution plans, financial institutions, and endowments and foundations.
His position is subject to regulatory approval, the release said.
