Gavin Launder has left his role as head of active equities and senior fund manager for active strategies, U.K. and Europe at Legal and General Investment Management after 16 years, a spokesman confirmed.
Mr. Launder's portfolio management responsibilities for the funds he managed have been assumed by fund manager Robert White, portfolio manager-equities Camilla Ayling and equity analyst Stuart Briscoe.
Colin Reedie, head of active strategies at LGIM, continues to lead the firm's active strategies team, which consists of 62 sector experts, the spokesman added.
"We thank Gavin for his personal and professional contribution to LGIM's active strategies offering and wish him well for the future," the statement said.
LGIM had £1.2 trillion ($1.45 trillion) in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
