Robeco named three executives to lead institutional sales in the U.S., Canada, the Netherlands and the U.K., a spokesman confirmed.
Effective May 1, Angela Ruane was named head of institutional sales in the U.S. and Canada. She will replace Maureen Beshar, who previously oversaw institutional sales efforts in the U.S. and Canada until her departure in 2021, a spokesman said. In the interim, executive director John Pinto has been assuming these responsibilities, he added. Ms. Beshar is executive director, business development and consultant relations at Hardman Johnston Global Advisors.
Ms. Ruane will be based in New York, reporting to Malick Badjie, the firm's head of institutional sales Europe, North America and Africa.
Most recently, she lead Insight Investments' U.S. institutional business development.
Separately, Tim Kruis will lead institutional sales in the Netherlands, based in Rotterdam. Mr. Kruis will replace Andre van den Heuvel, who left Robeco earlier this year. Mr. Van den Heuvel could not be reached to comment about his next appointment.
Mr. Kruis was head of advisory at Record Asset Management in Amsterdam.
Arabella Townshend, who will lead U.K. institutional sales, will join Robeco from River and Mercantile, where she was managing director and head of institutional. She will replace Kate Weber, who left Robeco and the industry last year.
Ms. Townshend and Mr. Kruis will also report to Mr. Badjie.
"Their appointments demonstrate our commitment to preserving and growing our book of business in these key markets. As we continue to lead the industry in sustainable investing, having Angela, Tim and Arabella in place will further build our presence and enable us to work with clients to identify where Robeco's world-class capabilities and expertise can be of assistance," Mr. Badjie said in a news release Wednesday.
Robeco had €171 billion ($182.5 billion) in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
