Stewart Hay has left abrdn as global head of private markets client strategies, a spokeswoman confirmed in an email Thursday.
Mr. Hay joined what was then Aberdeen Standard Investments in August 2017. Before that, he was a partner with SL Capital Partners, a Standard Life Investments private equity subsidiary.
In October, he "left the business to pursue other opportunities," the spokeswoman said. On LinkedIn, Mr. Hay said he is now "playing golf and going to big sports events."
The spokeswoman said that "abrdn has no plans to replace Stewart as his role is being absorbed by the team."
Abrdn had $617.5 billion in assets under management as of June 30.
