Ravi Venkataraman joined Chestnut Advisory Group as managing partner and co-owner.
Mr. Venkataraman will "lead the firm's strategic advisory work with asset managers and solutions providers" in partnership with Amanda Tepper, Chestnut's founder and co-owner, said a news release Wednesday.
"I am joining Amanda as a partner so it's a new role and expansion of the business and Chestnut's capabilities," Mr. Venkataraman said in an email.
He added that he will be based in Naples, Fla. but "expects to travel frequently" to New England and New York to see clients.
Based in Westport, Conn., Chestnut is a management consulting firm serving the asset management industry.
Mr. Venkataraman most recently was global head of investment solutions at MFS Investment Management. MFS Investment could not be immediately reached for further details.
