Rebecca Patterson will leave her role as chief investment strategist at Bridgewater Associates at the end of the year, a spokeswoman confirmed.
Ms. Patterson joined the money manager in 2020, according to Bridgewater's website.
A post on Ms. Patterson's personal LinkedIn page said: "After three years of working with incredibly talented, dedicated, and caring colleagues during unprecedented times for the global economy and markets, I have decided to explore my next chapter at the end of this year."
In an email, the Bridgewater spokeswoman said: "Rebecca has been a wonderful addition to Bridgewater and our community these past three years. We thank Rebecca for all her tremendous contributions to the organization during her time, we are certainly stronger because of her, and she will always remain a close friend of the firm."
Bridgewater has about $150 billion in assets under management, the spokeswoman said.
In her LinkedIn post, Ms. Patterson added: "After 25-plus years of researching and investing, I've come to realize that my strengths and passion as an investor are best aligned with more discretionary, less systematic approaches."
Ms. Patterson's responsibilities will be absorbed by several others on the team.
