U.K. investment consultant Lane Clark & Peacock has acquired energy research consultant Delta-EE to help clients navigate their net-zero energy transitions.
The combined forces "will be able to provide data-driven research, products, forecasts and consultancy services to companies investing in and navigating the energy transition," LCP said in a news release Tuesday.
Delta-EE focuses on the downstream part of the energy sector, providing data and analysis of the impacts of the energy transition on utilities, manufacturing and technology companies across Europe, Japan and elsewhere. "The energy transition will increasingly blur the lines between the upstream and downstream markets, and decision makers will need to understand how the interplays will evolve and impact them," the release said.
An LCP spokeswoman said in an email that the firm has a dedicated energy team that provides forecasting, modeling and advice to companies in the energy sector, but the new partnership "will also give us important insights and increased knowledge of the energy market that we can share with pension funds and insurance clients. So we expect that this will benefit all our clients regardless of sector."
