Nicole W. Kraus was appointed president of outsourced CIO specialist Strategic Investment Group, replacing Brian Murdock who retired as the firm's CEO and president in September.
Ms. Kraus retains her previous role as chief client officer.
Mr. Murdock was not replaced as CEO, but the firm appointed Michelle McCloskey as the firm's executive chairwoman in September to assume much of Mr. Murdock's responsibilities, Ms. Kraus said in an interview.
Ms. Kraus has 28 years of experience in the OCIO industry, including eight years at Strategic Investment Group, a news release from the company said.
"The combination of Nikki's dedication to serve clients in achieving their investment objectives and her understanding of the important stewardship role that Strategic has in fulfilling our clients' missions makes her contributions to the leadership of Strategic very important," said Ms. McCloskey in the release.
Strategic Investment Group managed $25.5 billion in discretionary assets under management as of Dec. 31.
